ABOUT THE SEMINAR
This two-day course covers the development of cleanup objectives under the New Jersey guidance. Training will cover a wide range of subject matter, from simple equations, to Synthetic Precipitation Leaching Procedure (SPLP) methods and transport and fate modeling. Focus will be given to the use of the SESOIL and AT123D models contained in the SEVIEW transport and fate modeling software.

The overall goal of the course is to provide exposure to practical modeling methods. Those already experienced in modeling will benefit from an introduction to the capabilities of SEVIEW 6.3.

SEVIEW is a comprehensive program that links SESOIL to the SUMMERS, BIOSCREEN, AT123D, and MODFLOW/MT3D models. SEVIEW also links BIOSCREEN to AT123D.

Consultants and regulatory agencies around the world use SEVIEW, including the NJDEP, NYDEC, MADEP, NHDES, VADEQ and OHEPA.

PREREQUISITES
A basic knowledge of the MS Windows is recommended. Modeling experience is beneficial but not required.

Mr. Schneiker designed and developed SEVIEW, which is used by consultants, and regulators around the world. Project experience includes SESOIL vadose zone modeling used by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to establish baseline regulatory soil cleanup standards protective of groundwater quality.

Liliana Cecan, P.E., Ph.D.
McLane Environmental, LLC, Princeton, NJ
Dr. Cecan has 16 years experience in the environmental field, providing technical leadership, management and hands-on work in the fields of groundwater modeling in support of Risk Assessment, Brownfields Redevelopment, Remediation and Litigation Support. She assisted in the development of the SESOIL to MODFLOW/MT3D link.
